Terms of service.

Last updated September 25, 2026

These terms apply to your use of CheckDEV ("the service"). By creating an office or using the service you agree to them. If you use the service on behalf of a company, you agree on its behalf.

Your office

The person who creates an office is its owner and is responsible for it, including who is invited and what their roles are. Admins of an office may invite and remove people and change the office's layout.

Subscriptions and payment

  • Plans are billed monthly in advance, per user, at the prices shown on our pricing page when you subscribe.
  • Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy, who is the merchant of record for all orders. Lemon Squeezy takes the payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and provides customer service for billing enquiries and returns.
  • Adding seats or moving to a higher plan is charged pro rata for the rest of the billing period; reductions apply from the next invoice.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not refund partial periods unless the law requires it.
  • If a payment fails we may suspend the office until it is resolved.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice to office owners.

Acceptable use

Don't use the service to break the law, harass people, share content you don't have the right to share, interfere with the service or other customers, or try to access offices you haven't been invited to.

Your content

You own what you and your team create in your office. You give us permission to host and display it only as needed to provide the service.

Availability

We work to keep the service available and secure, but it is provided "as is", without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Ending the service

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close an office that breaks these terms or goes unpaid. After an office closes, we may delete its data.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will tell office owners about material changes before they take effect.
